The holidays are just around the corner, y’all!!
We are in full-Christmas preparation here at the Zwijnenburg Casa.
Christmas music is basically on 24/7 and that Netflix crackling fireplace keeps our humble abode quite cozy (or gezellig for any of you Dutchies reading 🙂 ).
Have you thought about what you’ll be wearing during the holidays? Around our house Christmas Eve tends to be the night we dress up followed by a comfy, more casual Christmas.
So this year I am thinking about my options ahead of time as we will be on a plane to Texas come Thursday morning.
*cue Hallelujah chorus*
So, without further ado, I give you: Glam It Up
Metallics are always an easy way to dress up basic black without having to buy an entire outfit (not that I don’t enjoy buying an entirely new outfit 😉 ).
This year all you’ll need to spice up your look is:
-A pleated metallic skirt (my obsession with pleated skirts continues)
-Basic black top with trumpet sleeves (if you’re in charge of Christmas Eve dinner I would like to mention trumpet sleeves are not very practical for cooking purposes)
-Black tights
-Black booties
-Metallic statement necklace
-Your go-to leather jacket (mine may or may not be from Santa and I may or may not officially be able to wear it yet 😉 Man, Santa has such good taste).
You can find my look at:
Skirt: H&M (runs big, size down – also in gold and black)
Top: Zara
Leather Jacket: Zara, I mean Santa
Booties: Dolce Vita
Necklace: Old, Forever 21
Enjoy your Christmas preparations, friends!
