Today is the first day of spring, officially. Although, by the looks of the clouds outside, you wouldn’t know it.
I’ve got to say I have been feeling some serious weather envy towards you all in TX. Bare legs and sandals in March?! I’ll take it.
But for those of us that have not hit above 70 degrees yet (21 degrees Celsius for my European friends), how are we supposed to dress?
For starters, find yourself a versatile pair of distressed cropped denim. My go-to denim destination is Zara. I know they fit well, and are extremely affordable. Not to mention, with a flat boot or sneakers they can be worn now, but with the cropped detail, later on (when it warms up :)) with flatforms or wedges they’ll be really cute.
Secondly, find a statement jacket piece. Something lightweight, but still warm enough to keep you from shivering during these early ‘spring’ days. I love the way this jacket is light, both in weight and color but so ‘loud’ that you don’t have to do much else with the rest of the outfit. ‘Loud’ pieces are not for everyone, so if you’re more of a basic type of girl, go with a longer lightweight solid blazer. Lighter colors, for a springy feel. Pair it with a fun necklace and you’re all set. Why overthink it?
Happy Shopping 🙂
