So one of my favorite things to do in my free time is TRAVEL.
For those of you that know me, this should come as no surprise to you. Europe is so small and easy to get around in, why not?! Each time we visit a new place, I feel inspired and refreshed (and like I’m not the only outsider in the world).
One of my family’s favorite places to travel to is Italy. Again, not a surprise for those of you that know me. We have been countless times. The food, atmosphere, way of life, culture, shopping, I could go on…
One thing that I have learned since moving abroad is that travel abroad can be much more affordable than what you might think. So what if you eat cheaply for 75% of your trip but save up for that one special dinner for something amazing that you’ll remember for years to come? Or what if you decided to stay in a cheaper hotel or Airbnb but were able to spend the money you saved on lodging for an amazing experience or a few extra days exploring? It’s all about making priorities when it comes to travel. If you want to see the world (or at least part of it :)) then something’s gotta give.
One thing I can assure you, never have I ever regretted spending money on a vacation. Maybe I looked back thinking I didn’t really need that new jacket or bag, but I have never felt that a cent has been wasted on travel.
